Nestlé has announced that it has invested CHF12 million (€10.6 million) in a new production line in Córdoba in Argentina for the production of ready-to-drink milk products.
The new production line, located in the Villa Nueva factory, will allow the company to manufacture 10 million litres of milk products on a daily basis, for its popular brands Nesquik and Nido.
Business Growth
Chief executive and president of Nestlé Argentina, Gian Carlo Aubry, said that the new production line marks the food giant's entry into the liquid milk products market.
He also added that these value-added products will boost business growth, promote exports and position the company as a pioneer in terms of new projects like organic milk and A2 milk.
The new addition forms part of a four-year local investment plan worth CHF127 million (€111.8 million).
Nestlé Argentina operates six factories located in different parts of the country, and employs more than 2,000 people.
