Nestlé has announced that it has hired 200 new professionals for its Global IT Hub in Barcelona.
The new roles focus on departments beyond digital marketing and e-commerce and include business and finance, factories, supply chain, and human resources.
The Global IT Hub will now comprise 600 professionals, once the contracting period is over, Nestlé said in its statement.
It will provide computer support to all Nestlé markets and brands from its facilities in Esplugues de Llobregat in Barcelona.
'Digital Transformation'
Director of Nestlé's Global IT Hub, Jelena Trajkovic, said "The new profiles, together with the equipment we already have, are going to play a very important role in Nestlé's digital transformation, which is why, for a team like ours, it is essential to gather talent and diversity."
The Global IT hub is a part of Nestlé Global Services Spain, which was launched on 1 January last year.
It also includes Purina Studios and Nespresso E-commerce centre, among others, and aims to employ around 800 worldwide by the middle of next year.
