Nestlé Indonesia has announced that it has invested CHF99 million (€90.06 million) to increase the production capacity of three factories in the country.
The project will boost the food giant's production capacity in Indonesia by 25%.
The expansion is intended for a new production line for liquid drinks, like Milo and Nescafé Ready to Drink, pure sterilised milk Bear Brand, and Maggi seasoning.
'Conducive Business Opportunity'
"We recognize an increasingly conducive business opportunity in Indonesia, coupled with the growing demand of consumers towards Nestlé’s nutritious and high-quality food and beverage products," said Dharnesh Gordhon, President Director of Nestlé Indonesia.
"Producing value-added products has been one of our efforts to improve the quality of life and continue to contribute to a healthier future for Indonesians."
The factories in Karawang in West Java, Kejayan in East Java, and Panjang in Lampung will be a part of the expansion project, Nestlé said.
Presently, Nestlé's Indonesian arm produces Cerelac infant cereal, Milo chocolate malt drink, Dancow, and Lactogrow milk powder, as well as instant Nescafé soluble coffee and coffee mixes.
