Nestlé Italia has signed a contract for the sale of the Ore Liete biscuit brand to Italian confectionary and bakery products company Tedesco Group.
Tedesco Group, which recently celebrated 70 years of its Piselli brand, has opened a new 30,000 m2 plant in Pierantonio near Perugia, where Ore Liete will be produced in the future.
The acquisition will help further expand the product portfolio of Tedesco Group and also provides the opportunity for further development of the Ore Liete brand in Italy.
The decision follows the development plan presented by Nestlé Italia in March, which aims to strengthen Perugia San Sisto as one of the chocolate excellence centres within the Nestlé group. In this context, the San Sisto establishment will focus on the core production of the company, the chocolate of excellence.
