German Cereal Partners Deutschland (CPD), Nestlé’s joint venture with General Mills, has launched a new range of cereal bars under the Nestlé Clusters brand.
The range will include three different varieties: crispy chocolate, almond & pumpkin seeds, and caramel & chocolate.
Each variety will feature oat flakes and whole grain cereals combined with either whole almonds, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate or caramel. All three varieties come without artificial flavours and colourings.
Breakfast Needs
With this new offer, CPD is seeking to meet the breakfast needs of young adults, who expect a feeling of satisfaction, natural quality, and a format which allows breakfast to be eaten on the go, according to a study from 2014.
“Especially in the convenience area, the cereal bar market is growing and is in need of variation. This has already been demonstrated by the successful launch of Nesquik, Cini Minis and Golden Minis in September 2016,” said Carmen Borsche, CEO of CPD.
“Next to top brands for children, now is a great opportunity for us to introduce Cluster cereals to the market in a new form. They are very popular among young adults and we wish to offer unique recipes, diverse flavours and delicious ingredients.”
New Look
The original format of Cluster cereal has also been redesigned with new packaging. The range includes the two versions, almond and chocolate.
