Nestlè Italiana has named Giorgio Vesprini as its new director general for sales, reporting to Leo Wencel, President and CEO of the group.
Among Vesprini’s tasks will include giving greater impetus to sales growth across the company’s Food portfolio, with greater focus on the 9 categories in which Nestlè Italiana operates.
During his professional career at Nestle Group, Vesprini has held positions in the marketing and commercial area within the Petcare business, contributing to the leadership of Purina in Italy. In 2013, he took over as Country Business Manager of Nestlè Purina Poland, overseeing a double-digit growth in less than three years.
Meanwhile, Italian manager Valerio Di Natale has been named Area President South Europe for the Meals division of Mondelez International, with responsibilities for the Cheese and Grocery portfolio.
Di Natale has spent over 30 years with the group, having held several roles, first in the areas of marketing, sales and logistics, before becoming Vice President & Area Director Italy & Greece in 2004 and expanding his responsibilities to Spain and Portugal in 2011.
With the new position, Di Natale will now also be responsible for France and the Benelux countries.
