Personal hygiene firm Ontex has announced the appointment of Esther Berrozpe as the new chair of its remuneration and nomination committee.
Berrozpe, an independent director, will succeed Gunnar Johansson, who has decided to step down from the board.
Johansson spent more than six years as a director of the company and five years as the chair of its remuneration and nomination committee.
Elsewhere, the company has decided to appoint former CEO of Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Frédéric Larmuseau, as an independent non-executive director,
The appointment is subject to ratification from shareholders, the company added.
An Experienced Professional
Larmuseau is an experienced professional with expertise in the consumer goods sector and a broad international outlook.
Before joining JDE, he worked in several senior management positions in the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.
He served for nearly 17 years at Reckitt Benckiser, followed by seven years at Procter & Gamble.
The board of directors has also decided to create a strategy committee within the board.
It will be responsible for advising the board on the company’s medium- and long-term strategies and oversee the disciplined execution of strategic projects.
