Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia – Spain and Portugal’s biggest trade event dedicated to organic food and sustainable products – has been rescheduled from June to September this year.
Joint organisers Diversified Communications and IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, announced that the show will now take place on 8-9 September 2021 at IFEMA - Feria de Madrid.
The decision follows the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and comes after close monitoring of information and discussions with the industry.
Portfolio director, Vicky Holman said, “Although there are positive signs that large-scale events will be able to restart in the coming months, we still feel that June could be too early to run Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia.
“We want to deliver a second edition of the show that’s as safe and successful as possible, and with the recent news of vaccines and rapid testing, September feels like the right time to do that.”
Project director, Susana Andrés Omella added, “The growing interest in organic, sustainable and ethical produce, even during these challenging times, is incredibly positive.
“With the industry thriving, we know that Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia is more important than ever to celebrate and contribute towards that growth.”
According to Eduardo López-Puertas, general manager at IFEMA, organisers are preparing the facilities with the latest technology in security and occupancy control systems, in line with the criteria established by the health authorities, main international public bodies, and industry organisations, so that visitors and exhibitors at Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia experience the maximum degree of safety.
Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia will take place in Hall 8 at IFEMA - Feria de Madrid.
