Norwegian food firm Orkla has announced the appointment of a new CEO to its Confectionery & Snacks Norge division.
Ingvill T. Berg, currently the division's sales director, has been appointed as chief executive of the business, and is set to take up her position at the start of November.
She replaces Jeanette Hauan Fladby, who is set to become a new executive vice president at Orkla, with responsibility for the Confectionery & Snacks business area, in October.
Commercial Background
“I’m delighted that Ingvill has agreed to head Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Norge," said Fladby.
"She has a strong professional and commercial background that is important for this post. In light of her experience, personal engagement and leadership skills, I am convinced that she has what it takes to ensure the continued profitable development of the company."
Berg joined Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Norge in 2006, and has held the position of sales director since 2015, as well as previously holding a number of roles such as key account manager, marketing manager and head of category development.
In her new role, she will report directly to Fladby. Orkla said that it has commenced the process of finding Berg's successor.
Orkla's confectionery and snacks business includes brands such as KiMs, Nidar, Göteborgs Kex, Sætre, OLW, Panda, Laima, Selga, Adazu and Kalev.
