Norwegian food producer Orkla has announced that Mattias Orrenius will step down as senior vice president for investor relations, to take up the role as chief financial officer at Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Sverige.
Orrenius will remain head of investor relations into early 2018 until his successor is in place, according to Orkla. The process of recruiting Orrenius’ successor will begin immediately.
Finance Experience
Orrenius has headed the department since 1 June 2015, and has been employed at the company since 2009. He has substantial experience from finance positions in various parts of the group and has an MBA from the School of Economics and Management at Lund University in Sweden, according to Orkla.
“Mattias has done an excellent job as SVP Investor Relations,” said Jens Staff, Orkla executive vice president and CFO. “We would have liked to see him continue in this position. However, we know that he will also make a valuable contribution to growth and value creation in Orkla as CFO at Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Sverige.”
The Norwegian company reported revenue increases of 4% for Q2, increasing to NOK 9,771 million.
It recently announced its acquisition of the Swedish Health and Sports Nutrition Group HSNG to expand its business into the online health and sports nutrition business.
