PepsiCo has announced a strategic partnership with airline company JetBlue to offer a range of carbonated soft drinks and non-carbonated beverages for passengers.
The new line-up will include Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Sierra Mist Zero Sugar, and lime-flavoured Sparkling Water. It will also offer Rold Gold pretzels from its Frito-Lay portfolio.
In 2020, it will also add Aquafina to its onboard menu, PepsiCo said.
Branding
The cola giant has also added JetBlue's branding to its iconic logo in Long Island City. The logo will remain installed throughout September of this year.
President of global foodservice at PepsiCo, Anne Fink, said, "As two brands with deep roots in New York City, it's the perfect place to kick off the partnership and demonstrate our excitement by temporarily enhancing the visual fabric of our shared hometown."
The company has not made any permanent changes to the sign, which is a historic landmark and a reminder of Long Island City's industrial past.
'Celebration Of New Partnership'
"Long Island City is JetBlue's home and we're so proud to be a temporary part of its skyline," said Elizabeth Windram, vice-president of marketing, JetBlue.
"The temporary installation of the sign brings together our brands in celebration of the new partnership between our two New York-rooted companies."
Later this year, JetBlue and PepsiCo will also explore more opportunities to offer innovative and fun travel experiences for customers, the firms said.
