Snacking giant Pladis has appointed Geoff Painter as its new chief insights officer, commencing 13 January.
Painter most recently led Insights & Analytics for the Asia Pacific region of PepsiCo’s food and beverages businesses. He worked for PepsiCo for over two decades and was a critical factor in the company’s rapid growth in the region, Pladis said in a statement.
The new role will see Painter directing Pladis’ focus on growth. He will be accountable for building the talent, skills and technology needed to identify growth opportunities and turn insights into initiatives.
In addition to serving as a member of PepsiCo’s global insights leadership team, Painter also held posts in China, India, Asia Pacific, Australasia, the UK and Ireland,
'Results-Driven'
Pladis’ chief executive officer Salman Amin, welcomed Painter to the company, “Painter is a respected and proven, results-driven executive with 25 years of global consumer products experience across insights and analytics, strategic planning, innovation and brand building.”
Amin added that he believes Painter's expertise will strengthen Pladis’ ‘growth capabilities’ by bringing a renewed focus on industry trends and consumer needs.
“He brings a rare combination of functional and commercial expertise honed through diverse international market and cultural exposure, including in both developed and emerging markets," he said.
Commenting on his appointment, Painter said, “I am thrilled to be joining Pladis as we move into a new decade with a strong and diverse portfolio of best loved brands."
