Portuguese coffee roasting company Delta Cafés has launched the Slow Coffee brand to recreate the ritual of making and tasting coffee at home in line with new consumer habits.
The brand offers two unique features - 'Dripping Experience' and 'Pressing Experience' – to enable consumers to prepare and enjoy handcrafted coffee.
The Dripping Experience uses a filter, and the constant flow of water passing through the coffee during extraction accentuates the flavours and aromas.
Coffee Blends
The brand created two coffee blends for this feature: 'Colombia & Ethiopia' and 'Costa Rica, India, Tanzania & Timor'.
For the 'Pressing Experience' feature, Delta Cafés also designed two blends, 'Costa Rica & Tanzania' and 'Colombia, Ethiopia, Guatemala & Uganda'. These can be used across three different types of equipment, French Press, Aeropress and Balloon.
Recyclable Aluminium Capsule
Elsewhere, Portuguese coffee capsule manufacturer Kaffa launched a 100% recyclable aluminium capsule that is compatible with all Nespresso machines.
The new capsules are available in 6 blends - Fortíssimo (intensity 12); Ristretto (intensity 10); Clássico (intensity 9); Colombia (intensity 8); Brasil (intensity 7) and Descafeinado (intensity 5).
Along with the 10-unit packs across the entire range, consumers can also purchase Fortissimo and Ristretto blends in extra-large packs of 30 units.
