British food manufacturer Premier Foods has announced the appointment of Keith Hamill as its non-executive chairman. He will join the board on 1 October and will be appointed as chairman on 9 November.
Hamill is to replace David Beever, who will step down from the board after nine years with the company and five years as chairman.
Long-Standing Experience
Hamill currently serves as non-executive director of Easyjet and Samsonite International. He has also served as non-executive director of TP ICAP (formerly Tullett Prebon plc), Max Property Group and Bagir Group over the last five years.
“We are delighted to welcome Keith Hamill as chairman of the board and look forward to working with him to deliver long-term value for shareholders,” said Ian Krieger, senior independent non-executive director of Premier Foods.
“Keith’s background in consumer facing businesses in addition to his breadth of experience as a chairman and non-executive director will be invaluable as we continue to focus on our strategic objectives. I would like to thank David Beever for his commitment and significant contribution to the company over the last nine years and extend our very best wishes to him as he reduces his work commitments.”
