Nestlé Purina has announced that it is to invest US$140 million (€129.33 million) in expanding its factory in Iowa in the United States.
The move will allow the company to meet the growing demand for nutritious, scientifically developed dog and cat food made with high-quality ingredients.
The investment will be used to add processing and packaging lines for the production of dry or kibble-based pet foods, and create more than 60 new positions at its factory in Clinton, Iowa.
The factory in Clinton produces Purina ONE and Purina Pro Plan and is a centre for innovation and design of new products.
The company operates a network of 21 pet food factories across the United States.
