French spirits company Rémy Cointreau has named Laurent Venot as the head of markets for the group, global travel retail as well as e-commerce.
He will be responsible for coordinating the execution of the company’s strategy for all geographical areas and distribution channels, the company said.
Presently, Venot serves as the chief executive officer of the company for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The CEO of Greater China, Nicolas Beckers, will join the executive committee and report directly to Laurent Venot, as will Ian Mc Lernon, the chief executive of the Americas, the company added.
Changes In The Executive Committee
The company’s executive committee will now comprise ten members, who will report to the chief executive officer, Eric Vallat.
It includes, among others, three market directors from the Group, Greater China, and the Americas, and three brand directors.
The three brand directors to join the committee are Philippe Farnier, CEO of House Rémy Martin; Jean-Denis Voin, CEO of Liqueurs & Spirits; and Simon Coughlin, CEO of the Whiskey Business Unit.
Also set to join the committee are group CFO Luca Marotta; human resources director, Marc-Henri Bernard; and operations director, Patrick Marchand.
'A Tailored Organisation'
Commenting on the reshuffle, Rémy Cointreau, CEO, Eric Vallat, said, “As announced, I will share in June our strategic vision for the years to come. However, it all starts with a tailored organisation, the reason for which I am pleased to formalise this new executive committee, narrowed and structured to reinforce the coherence of our actions with the nomination of a head of markets for the group.
"Integrating Greater China to the executive committee is also essential for me, due to its strategic importance and its market specificity."
