SIAL Paris kicks off this Sunday, 16 October, at Paris Nord Villepinte, with around 7,000 companies exhibiting at what is considered one of the world's leading food-trade fairs.
The event runs until Thursday 20 October and covers some 27 hectares of space – the equivalent of 100 supermarkets.
"SIAL Paris is often called the largest supermarket in the world, and for good reason," says Nicolas Trentesaux, director, SIAL Network.
"It provides inspiration to all of Planet Food, thanks to five intense days entirely dedicated to discovering products and trends, and the facilitating of meetings between producers and buyers from around the world."
In addition, the SIAL Innovation Observatory, SIAL TV, the SIAL World Tour programme, and a myriad of other conferences and activities will showcase the latest product developments and trends from across the food world.
