Sushi Daily, the company spearheading the sushi drive in European hypermarkets, has released a 2014 turnover of €180 million, according to French FMCG news website LSA.
This represents very rapid growth of 50 per cent.
The company now operates more than 330 kiosks throughout six EU countries (France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands) under its brand name, with plans to open 50 more during 2015. The Sushi Daily brand was inaugurated by the Écully Carrefour in September of 2010.
The firm has also said it wishes to begin doing business in train stations and airports – highly competitive zones of trading.
At the company's kiosks, sushi artisans prepare the foodstuffs fresh for shoppers.
