PG has announced that Tracey Norman is returning to modeling for Clairol, as the face of its new “Color As Real As You Are” campaign. The model first started working for Clairol in the 1970's, but her career ended instantly when she was revealed to be transgender.
When Tracey Norman's story appeared in NY Magazine The Cut, in December 2015, her lifelong commitment to expressing her true identity inspired Clairol to invite her to work with the brand again. She has agreed to appear in the Clairol “Color As Real As You Are” ad campaign and her first TV commercial will be launched in January 2017.
Heather Carruthers, Clairol Associate Brand Director, commented: "Our new "Color As Real As You Are" campaign celebrates the confidence that comes from embracing what makes you unique. We’re honored to bring back Tracey Norman, as a woman who no longer has to hide her truth. Her warm, genuine spirit and authentic approach to life make her a natural fit for the campaign."
