Valeo Foods Group, which owns brands such as Rowse, Kettle, Barratt and Balconi, has appointed Louis-Francois Gombert as its new chief financial officer, effective from summer of this year.
Gombert succeeds Brendan Feeney in the role, following the latter's decision to step back from the business.
'Wealth of Expertise'
“We are very excited about working together with Louis-Francois, tapping into his wealth of expertise as a seasoned finance leader, and we wish him every success in his new role," said group chief executive Ronald Kers. "To Brendan, we thank him for his very significant contribution to the business over the last decade where he played a key role in its growth, development and success.”
Gombert has past experience at firms such as Orangina-Schweppes, Suntory, and most recently Havea Group, where he held the role of CFO for the past three-and-a-half years.
According to Valeo Foods, during his time with the company he was responsible for a 'significant business transformation'.
Commenting on his appointment, Gombert said, “I’m very excited to join Valeo Foods, and look forward to supporting the ambition of continuing to build a leading European food business with global reach and impact."
'Immensely Proud'
Elsewhere, Feeney said that he was "immensely proud" of Valeo Foods' growth in recent years, adding that he is looking forward to working alongside Gombert on his transition into the role.
The food group has grown rapidly in recent years, with its revenue coming in at around €1.2 billion per annum. The group employs 4,500 people in Ireland, the UK and Europe.
