Italian health food company Valsoia has finalised an agreement with Naturalia Ingredients for the acquisition of liquid-sweetener business Diete.Tic.
According to Valsoia, Diete.Tic has a consolidated presence in the Italian market with a turnover of approximately €5 million in 2016. Its success is due to a high and growing customer loyalty, thanks to the uniqueness of the product.
The deal, consisting of trademarks, patents, know-how, production lines, warehouses and commercial debts, is worth €8.8 million.
Strategic Acquisition
The production and distribution of products will now be taken over by Valsoia, and managed through its own production and commercial structure.
Valsoia says that the acquisition of Diet.Tic is of significant strategic value for the company, which now enters into the alternative sweeteners market.
Valsoia is a producer of soy products and dairy alternatives, with an annual turnover of €114.8 million.
