Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn has launched two new additions to its homemade-dinner kit, the 'Allerhande-Box'. The new 'Family-Box' offers three meals for four people, with a selection of dishes aimed at families with children. The 'Inspiration-Box' contains more exotic recipes and combinations of flavours and offers three meals, for two.
Customers can choose three out of four options for the Family-Box. Designed with children in mind, these dishes are quicker to prepare and have milder flavours. All dishes are tasted and approved by a panel of children, before they're added to the selection. One of their choices for the first edition of the Family-Box is 'Homemade chicken curry with pineapple, rice, green beans and almonds'.
The idea behind the 'Allerhande-Box' is to offer the fresh ingredients, seasoning and recipes needed to cook simple meals from scratch together, saving the customer time. The Allerhande dinner-kits can be ordered online and delivered (free of charge), or picked up at Albert Heijn stores or 'Pick up Points' throughout The Netherlands.
