Dutch retailer Albert Heijn is expanding it range of healthy products, adding 100 new items to its offering that have been chosen to respond to the needs of increasingly health-conscious consumers.
The new range includes everything from pastas made from pulses and legumes, such as quinoa and buckwheat, to pure fruit and vegetable snacks and bars like apple crisps and Rude Health’s The Beetroot Bar.
It also features products made from seeds and nuts that have been harvested just after germination, and are therefore believed to contain a higher concentration of nutrients, like Sprouted Muesli by Sun Organic.
Category manager for health foods at Albert Heijin, Sophie Alkemade, commented, "With these products, our customers can further vary their daily diet and discover new flavors."
The expanded health food offering will be available in selected Albert Heijin stores from Monday, February 29.
