Dutch retailer, Albert Heijn, has announced that it has won the 2017 Good Food Award (Jaarprijs Goede Voeding), for three new private-label products.
The new products, cauliflower rice, broccoli rice and zucchini spaghetti, were presented as a vegetable-rich alternative to rice and pasta.
In addition, the retailer won an Encouragement Award for its private-label peanut butter.
On accepting the awards, Michelle Belt, category manager of potatoes, pasta and canned foods at Albert Heijn said, "We want to show our customers that healthy food is easy, and fun. We have introduced a lot of innovative products over the past six months to encourage the consumption of vegetables."
