Swiss-Irish bakery firm Aryzta has announced the appointment of Frederic Pflanz as the company’s new chief financial officer, starting January 2018.
Pflanz joins Arzyta from Maxingvest, the parent company of German consumer retail business Tchibo and personal care group Beiersdorf.
Prior to this, Pflanz held a number of senior positions at Remy Cointreau Group from 2010 to 2014, and at L’Oreal from 1992 to 2010.
Senior Appointments
“Frederic’s proven career in the global consumer products sector combined with his extensive finance experience will add significant expertise and capability to our management team,” said Gary McCann, Aryzta chairman.
“His appointment marks another important milestone for the group as we build the senior executive team to stabilise the business and, in time, to deliver increased performance and growth.”
Last month, the company announced that Kevin Toland will begin his role as the company’s new chief executive on 12 September.
