Associated British Foods, the home of Twinings Tea and the Primark fashion chain, has announced that Michael McLintock has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company, effective 1 November 2017.
McLintock is currently a trustee of the Grosvenor Estate and a non-executive director of Grosvenor Group. He was CEO of investment company M&G from 1997 until his retirement in 2016. Following Prudential’s acquisition of M&G, he also served as director of Prudential from 2000 until 2016.
The company has said that McLintock will also become a member of its audit and remuneration committees on appointment.
In July, Associated British Foods posted a 10% revenue increase in its third quarter, with the Primark business remaining the primary breadwinner for the group.
