Spirits company Beam Suntory has announced that it is promoting Marc André Tousignant to the position of chief financial officer, effective 1 January 2018.
Tousignant is currently CFO of the company's Americas business, but is now set to succeed John Owen, who had previously announced his intention to leave the company, which produces brands such as Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Kabukin whisky, and Courvoisier cognac.
Experience
Tousignant joined Beam Suntory in 2014 as CFO of the company's global supply chain, before assuming his current role in 2016. He previously worked as cosmetics company Avon.
“Marc André is a thoughtful and strategic finance executive whose breadth and depth of experience will serve him well as our global CFO,” said Beam Suntory CEO Matt Shattock.
"We are tremendously grateful to John for his outstanding leadership and numerous contributions to our success, and we’re pleased that he will remain with us through year end to ensure a seamless transition to Marc André.”
