Carrefour Italia has opened a new supermarket in Milan's CityLife shopping district, under its 'Vivi di Gusto' Carrefour Market banner.
The new 1,200 square metre outlet is the retailer's 27th 'gourmet' format store in Italy.
The store features a fruit and vegetable department, a meat and cheese counter, fishmonger, sushi, bakery, canned foods, frozen foods, and home care and personal care products, reports Retail Watch.
Overall, it offers a range of around 9,000 products, with a focus on organic and free-from food.
At the entrance of the store, there is a coffee bar, where customers can order beverages to take-away, as well as a selection of sweet and savoury snacks. Outside, there are several tables in a covered area for those who bought items at the bar or in the Market, and want to stop and eat.
