Carrefour has opened a new hypermarket in the city of XiangYang, in Hubei province in the East of China.
The Carrefour Zhongyuanlu Hypermarket opened on November 20th, and boasts a sales area of 6,790 square metres, as well as 18 checkouts. It also has parking for up to 338 cars.
It follows just two weeks from the opening of a hypermarket in Sichuan, which opened on November 6. The Carrefour Chengdu YongKang store boasts a sales area of 6,900 square metres, and forms part of a mall containing 26 stores.
Carrefour currently operates more than 230 hypermarkets in China.
