French retailer Carrefour has acquired a 51% stake in Romanian online food ordering platform Bringo Magazin, reports local news portal Profit.
The platform consists of an IT application through which products from different stores can be ordered and delivered to customers directly at home. Bringo Magazin was launched last autumn and is available for download from the Apple Store and Google Play.
Online Delivery
Bringo Magazin offers products from stores such including Carrefour, Metro, Selgros, Farmacia Dona, Bucuria and Brot Manufactur.
Consumers can choose a retailer to shop from and place orders through the app, which is free to use, however home delivery costs RON 19.99 (€4.37).
Carrefour Romania launched its own online store in July 2013 and provides home delivery in Bucharest and the neighbouring areas.
