UK independent alcohol wholesaler and distributor Conviviality has posted revenue of £836 million in the first half of its financial year, representing growth of 9.2% compared to the same period in 2016.
The company, which operates brands such as Bargain Booze and Wine Rack, reported growth across all of its business areas, including direct sales (+6.9%), retail sales (+10%), and trading sales (+9.6%).
"We are pleased to have delivered strong revenue growth during the period," said Diana Hunter, CEO of Conviviality.
"This performance is a direct result of the support and engagement of our valued customers and franchisees across our entire business, our suppliers and global producers and the talented teams who work closely with them."
Outlook
Conviviality says that its business continues to perform in line with the board's expectations for the full year ending April 2018.
"During this period the company has undergone significant change as we continue to implement systems that will ultimately serve to future proof our business and enable us to continue to deliver the outstanding service that our customers and franchisees expect from us," added Hunter.
