The Consumer Goods Forum has announced the cancellation of its Global Summit, scheduled for 16-19 June in London, due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.
The Forum's Future Leaders Programme (FLP) Conference, which was also due to take place in London the same week, has also been cancelled.
'Right Thing To Do'
In a statement, the Forum said that the decision to cancel both events was not taken lightly, but 'given the pandemic that is impacting our industry and the people we care most about, we felt it is the right thing to do.
'We also want to allow our members to focus on what is important during this difficult period,' it added.
The Global Summit, which took place in Vancouver last year, is the flagship event for the retail and consumer goods sectors, brining together more than 1,000 CEOs and c-suite executives from across the industry.
The 2021 edition of the summit is scheduled to take place in New York in June 2021.
