Portuguese retailer Continente has launched a new marketing campaign, Uma Páscoa Diferente, that encourages families to be creative with how they celebrate Easter this year.
Based around the premise that 'if we can't do what we want (i.e. a traditional Easter), we can do what we can', the campaign offers suggestions such as sharing Easter meals with families via online channels and improvising treasure hunts without leaving the house.
Social Restrictions
"Although we are going through one of the most difficult periods, with serious social restrictions, we want to transmit normality and positivity as much as possible," said Tiago Simões, marketing director at Sonae MC.
"For this reason, we decided to develop a campaign to communicate an Easter that will certainly not be like the others, but one that will be as 'normal' as it possibly can be within this new reality."
