Masoutis To Offer 30% Of Net Profits As Bonus To Employees

Greek retailer Masoutis has announced that it will offer 30% of its net profits as a bonus to employees working in its stores and logistics facilities, amidst the current coronavirus challenges.

According to chief executive Giannis Masoutis, the decision stems from the group's belief that "our strength is our people", with its workforce "doing their duty" with dedication at this challenging time.

The exact value of the bonus is yet to be determined, however CNN Greece noted that 30% of last year's profits equated to around €3 million.

The bonus will be paid in December of this year.

Masoutis is a family-owned business that operates 333 stores across Greece.
