Silpo has announced that it has launched a delivery service in 45 cities in Ukraine that currently experience poor courier services, in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Marketing director at Silpo, Kateryna Oguryaeva, said, "We first of all paid attention to those 45 cities where it is difficult to order the right products from the comfort of your home, because they have underdeveloped courier services.”
The cities that will benefit from the service include, among others, Kremenchug, Kropyvnytskyi, Liman, Lisichansk, Mariupol, Melitopol, Nizhyn, Ovidiopol, Oster, Pavlograd, Radomyshl, Slavutych, and Fastiv.
In the future, Silpo also plans to extend the service to other cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro, to include all areas within the network of Silpo supermarkets.
Customers can place their orders at shop.silpo.ua and receive deliveries within four hours from a chosen delivery slot for a fee of UAH 50, the retailer said.
The retailer will arrange for masks, gloves, and antiseptics and carry out daily temperature checks for order picking workers and courier delivery personnel.
