Dansk Supermarked Group says that its online retail platform Wupti has doubled the range of products it provides as it collaborates with other online markets to compete with foreign e-commerce giants.
The Wupti store aims to keep internet commerce in Danish hands, and has aligned with other Danish web stores to create the country's ‘most extensive online marketplace’.
The company has invited the online stores to sell their products directly through wupti.com, and its range of products has now increased from 28,000 to over 60,000. The website was first unveiled in April.
Collaborative Growth
Kenneth Nielsen, executive vice president of Dansk Supermarked Group, said, “Our ambition is to create a marketplace where Danish online stores collectively reach out to a much larger group of potential customers".
“There have been so many other online stores on board that our focused support has more than doubled product variety and relevance for customers in just a few months.”
Wupti provides its customers with products ranging from electronics, watches, and printer cartridges, to teddy bears, bicycles, spices. The company reports that its product offering is growing daily.
