Angolan beverage distribution company Sodiba has invested more than €85 billion in its operations to help bolster its national beer brand, Luandina.
The plant, with a total area of 40 hectares and a production capacity of 144 million litres per year, has two filling lines, one for the production of Portuguese beer Sagres and the second for Luandina, reports Portuguese daily Jornal de Negocios.
Sodiba is owned by Angolan businesswoman Isabel dos Santos and her husband Sindika Dokolo.

Speaking to the press, Dokolo revealed that the initial planned investment was $100 million (around €85 million), but this amount was "largely surpassed" to ensure product quality and future growth. This includes the expansion of the factory, with a doubling of the production line.
Asked about the company's growth prospects, Dokoko answered that "everything will depend on the market", which is in a moment of recession.
Sodiba also plans to introduce other products on the market, although in the short run it will be focused on boosting Luandina's market presence.
