Nordic drinks firm Anora has appointed Mikkel Pilemand as chief growth officer and a member of its executive management team, effective 1 May 2023.
Most recently, he served as chief commercial officer of Danish online grocery retailer nemlig.com.
Pilemand brings extensive international experience in blue chip FMCG companies, having previously worked for Procter & Gamble, Reckitt and Carlsberg.
An 'International Professional'
"I am excited to welcome Mikkel to Anora’s executive management team. Mikkel is a truly international professional with strong sales, marketing, and digital experience from leading FMCG companies,” added Pekka Tennilä, CEO of Anora.
Anora aims to grow both in the Nordics as well as internationally and as the chief growth officer Pilemand will ensure that profitable growth remains at the forefront of the company's strategy.
He will also shoulder the responsibility to help reshape the company in order to stay ahead of competition.
Commenting on his new role, Pilemand said, "I look forward to supporting the executive management team, the board of directors and the teams across Anora in the company’s growth initiatives and expanding the business with a strong focus on customer and consumer needs.

The drinks group reported a decline in profitability across the business in its financial year 2022 amid high input costs.
Its full-year comparable EBITDA was €76 million, or 10.8% of net sales, down from a pro forma EBITDA of €101.0 million or 15.2% of net sales the previous year.
