As part of its ongoing “normalisation plan”, Polish-French drinks-maker Belvédère is to propose a name change to its shareholders next month, LSA reports.
The suggested name change, to Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits, is intended to reflect “what the group is today”, the company commented.
“The planned change in the group’s name is the final step in the normalisation plan that we launched a year ago, and it is, of course, quite right that our shareholders should have their say in this matter,” said the company's chief executive, Jean-Noël Reynaud.
In the wake of its recent 2014 results, Belvédère, which includes Sobieski vodka in its portfolio, reduced its staff and advertising budget as a means of cost-cutting.
