Bollinger Diffusion became the exclusively distributer of Rémy Cointreau-owned Scottish malts Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte, Octomore, as well as its gin brand The Botanist, on 2 January.
The company, a subsidiary of drinks company SJB, takes care of the French distribution of its champagnes and wines including Champagne Bollinger, Champagne Ayala, and Loire Langlois-Chateau.
Bollinger's expansion of its spirits division will see these products joining House of Rémy Martin (Louis XIII and Rémy Martin) brands and Mount Gay rum in its distribution channel. These latter brands came under Bollinger Diffusion's remit as of 1 September, 2016.
'This new partnership will enable Bollinger Diffusion to consolidate its position as a major player in the distribution of fine wines and prestige spirits in France,’ Rémy Cointreau said, ‘while the Rémy Cointreau brands will benefit from the know-how and excellence of Bollinger Diffusion’s network.’
