Czech brewer Budejovicky Budvar has appointed former SABMiller executive Petr Dvorak as its new chief executive according to beverage magazine, Just Drinks.
Dvorak is set to start in his new role immediately, having previously worked as SAB's global brand director for Pilsner Urquell.
Former Budvar CEO Jiri Bocek stepped aside last year due to health reasons, and Petr Zacek has been in place as interim CEO since 1 June 2016.
Last year, Budejovicky Budvar produced what it says was a 'record volume' of beer - a total of 1.615 million hectolitres. This represented a 0.8% year-on-year increase on its 2015 total. In April, the company reported that it has now reached maximum capacity in its facilities.
