Carlsberg Germany has announced the appointment of Kay Torsten Knepper as sales director for the off-trade, commencing 1 January next year.
Knepper previously held the role of sales director in the retail channel for Italian coffee roaster Lavazza.
Since 2016, he has held responsibility for distribution management, trade marketing and demand planning for the coffee maker’s Germany and Austria businesses.
In his new role, Knepper will report to Carlsberg Germany chairperson Sebastian Holz
In taking the position, Knepper is returning to his first place of work, the former Bavaria St.-Pauli-Brauerei, which today is known as Holstein-Brauerei, and forms part of the Carlsberg Group. ,
As well as working within the beer category, Knepper has worked with a number of premium brands, including soft drinks, spirits and dairy manufacturers.
