Carlsberg has announced the appointment of Søren Brinck as the new senior vice-president of its Asian division, effective 1 January 2020.
Brinck is an experienced professional, the group said, and is presently the managing director of Carlsberg Denmark.
He began his career in the year 2000 as a business and strategy consultant in various organisations, including Accenture.
In 2005, he joined the Carlsberg Group and has held several senior positions in the company.
Accelerating Growth In Asia
In his new role, Brinck will be responsible for accelerating the brewer's growth in Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
He will also lead various business development projects to unlock new market partnerships and channel opportunities, Carlsberg said.
Brinck will report to the EVP of Asia, Graham Fewkes.
Other Changes
Elsewhere, Peter Haahr Nielsen will step in as the managing director of Carlsberg's home market.
Most recently, Haahr Nielsen served as the vice-president of sales and off trade for Carlsberg Denmark.
In November 2004, he joined Carlsberg after completing a master’s degree in marketing and economics from Copenhagen Business School.
