Drinks company Champagne Drappier has reached its highest-ever sales in terms of both value and volume, TheDrinksBusiness.com has reported.
Throughout 2016, the company sold about 1.7 million bottles, with sales up by 2.5%.
The drinks producer was forced to elevate its prices due to inflation.
Its SKUs, which are sold by French retailer Auchan and Monoprix among other retailers domestically, are exported to Asia, the US, South America, Australia and Africa.
Its exports to the UK were down, however, a misfortune experienced by a number of champagne houses.
The Comité Champagne attributed the downturn to last summer's Brexit vote.
However, Champagne Drappier’s sales in France, Italy, the US and Japan all helped the company achieve its record year for sales.
