Constellation Brands has announced the appointment of Garth Hankinson as its new executive vice-president and chief financial officer, effective 13 January 2020.
He will succeed David Klein, who stepped down from the role to explore new opportunities outside the company.
Hankinson will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s finance operations, the Corona-maker said.
These include financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, information technology, as well as corporate development activities.
An Experienced Professional
Hankinson joined Constellation Brands in 2001 and held several senior leadership positions within the business.
Presently, he serves as the senior vice-president of corporate development and leads the company’s efforts related to financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
He is also responsible for the company’s efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, ventures investments, and strategic alliances.
Before joining Constellation Brands, Hankinson served in several roles in strategy and finance at Xerox and Citi, for around eight years.
