Portuguese hypermarket chain Continente has announced that its private label wine brand, Contemporal, won a total of 33 prizes during 2017.
The awards were obtained at events such as the International Wine Challenge, Decanter World Wine Awards, and Monde Selection in Brussels.
Award Winners
One of the retailer's top performers is the Moscatel Roxo de Setúbal Contemporal, which was awarded the gold medal in the Vinalies Internationales contest in France, the Selezione del Sindaco in Italy, and the Portugal Wine Trophy.
Other winners include the Contemporal Selection Sandra Tavares da Silva Tinto DOC Douro 2014, Contemporal Loureiro Branco DOC Vinho Verde 2016 and Contemporal Vinho do Porto.
The Contemporal wine range consists of 53 classified, sparkling and fortified wines from several Portuguese regions.
