Portuguese hypermarket chain Continente has secured exclusive sales of the Moscatel de Setúbal Venâncio da Costa Lima 5 Years Family Reserve.
The wine, produced by Venâncio da Costa Lima in Portugal's Setúbal peninsula, is the latest addition to the Sonae-owned group's range of Moscatel wines.
The range already includes the Moscatel Roxo de Setúbal Venâncio da Costa Lima 2013 that, on two occasions this year, was crowned as the best Moscatel in the world.
Award Winner
Last month, the wine was named as the best Moscatel at the French Muscats du Monde competition, having obtained the most points among the 214 muscat of 25 countries.
Additionally, in July, the wine was voted the best in the world of its category in the Challenge Internationale du Vin in Bordeaux, which counted with the participation of over 4,000 wines from 38 countries.
In a statement, Continente said that the move 'maintains its commitment to enriching the country's largest wine cellar, making it possible for Portuguese consumers to access products of excellence.'
