Spirits giant Diageo has announced the appointment of Debra Crew as a non-executive director on the company's board.
She will also join the audit, nomination and remuneration committees of the board.
Presently, Crew is a board member of Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., Newell Brands, and Mondēlez International.
A Seasoned Professional
Crew is a seasoned professional and was the president and CEO of Reynolds American, Inc.
Before joining Reynolds, she worked with PepsiCo for five years, where she served as the president of different units including North America Nutrition, PepsiCo Americas Beverages, and Western Europe Region.
Between 1997 to 2010, she worked with Kraft Foods, Nestlé S.A., and Mars, Inc.
Commenting on the appointment, Diageo Chairman, Javier Ferrán, said, "Her expertise in FMCG and experience as a former CEO will add to and complement the current board and will serve Diageo well as we continue to progress on our journey to achieving our ambition to become one of the most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world."
