Drinks giant Diageo has announced the appointment of Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet as a non-executive director, effective from 1 January 2021.
On appointment, Chapoulaud-Floquet will also join Diageo's audit, nomination and remuneration committees.
Chapoulaud-Floquet is the former CEO of Rémy Cointreau S.A., and led the company from September 2014 to December 2019.
Before joining Rémy Cointreau, Chapoulaud-Floquet worked for Louis Vuitton, LVMH Group for six years in various roles, including as president and CEO for the Americas, president and CEO for North America, president South Europe and CEO and president of Louis Vuitton Taiwan.
She also previously held senior positions at L'Oréal S.A., Europe and USA.
Chapoulaud-Floquet is currently an independent director on the supervisory board of Nextstage S.C.A.

Diageo chairman, Javier Ferrán, commented on the appointment, “I am delighted to announce that Valérie will join the Diageo board next year.
