Drinks manufacturer Diageo has confirmed the appointment of a new marketing & innovation director for Western Europe.
Edward Pilkington, current global category director for vodka, rum and gin, replaces Matt Barwell, who was in the position for almost two years. He moved from Mars to Diageo in 1998 and will leave the drinks firm in September.
He was previously global marketing director for J&B - the whisky brand - as well as marketing & innovation director for Africa.
Having joined Diageo in 1990, Plkington held a number of positions within the company including marketing & innovation director for Australia; he also held the same position for Latin America and the Caribbean. (July 10)
